Philly Cocoaheads (RSVP Required, no membership required)
When: Thursday October 11, 6:30pm-9pm / Thursday November 8, 6:30pm-9pm
Where: Indy Hall Gallery
What: PhillyCocoa is a Philadelphia area Mac and iPhone programming group, a chapter of the worldwide CocoaHeads. All skill levels are welcome. The only requirement is an interest in Apple-related technologies and moderate tolerance for geeking out.
Civic Series: North Korea (RSVP required, no membership required)
When: Wednesday October 17, 6:00pm-8:30pm
Where: Indy Hall Gallery
What: Join Civic Series as we help answer questions about North Korea. A 30 minute presentation is lead by an expert in the field, followed by moderated group discussion.
Show & Tell (no RSVP or membership required)
When: Thursday October 18, 12pm-1pm

What: Thursday at noon in the gallery, join in for one our longest-running regular events at Indy Hall! Meet fellow Indy Hall members you may not have met yet, or learn something new about folks you already know.

What: Late-night coworking, hosted by Indy Haller Moriah Gibbs. Community members who need to come in for an evening work jam can enjoy late night hours at Indy Hall.

“Designing a Conversation: The Art of the Podcast” presented by DesignBrew (RSVP required, no membership required)

What: Want to learn how to make a podcast interesting? Ryan Starr, creator of the Hi-Res podcast recounts stories of creating his show and teaches what you need to know before starting your own show.

What: Bring your lunch into the kitchen and meet other Indy Hallers! Whether you’re a brand new Indy Haller, or you’ve been here for a long time and want to meet new friends, introduce yourself to someone new over Community Lunch.
Philly Graph DB Meetup – Open Data Journalism Workshop (RSVP required)
When: Thursday October 25, 6pm – 8pm

What: An in-depth account of how to find open civic data sources, clean your data, and formatting tips for importing. We’ll also briefly go over how to upload CSV data into a Neo4j’s desktop app so you can begin to query and visually represent your data.
Ignite Philly 21 (Tickets required)
When: Thursday October 25, 6pm – 10pm
Where: Johnny Brenda’s
What: Rapid five-minute presentations, accompanied by 20 slides ticking down at 15-second intervals, inspire the crowd with ingenuity, humor, and imagination—ideas that are a call to action, that turn the past upside down, that point the way by which you help make a better future.
GDG Cloud Philly (RSVP Required, no membership required)
When: Tuesday October 30, 6:30pm – 8:30pm

What: October’s meetup will be presented by Dodd Pfeffer who is a Sr. Platform Architect at Pivotal Software. This month we’ll be learning all about Functions as a Service.
Philly Game Mechanics: Game Jam Kick-Off (RSVP required)
When: Thursday November 1, 7pm

What: A game jam is a chance to make a game in a small time window with a given theme. Our monthly jams are what you might call a slow jam, two weeks to make a game. It is a great chance to try game development out or partner up with a more experienced dev and learn the ropes.

What: Every First Friday at Indy Hall is a free coworking day! It’s a great day to visit Indy for the first time, and existing members don’t have to use a Day Pass for the day.
