This Sunday:
The Big Philly Meetup MashUp!
Alex Hillman
I’ve been saying for months now that my #1 goal for 2026 is to make the events and communities we host at the Indy Hall Clubhouse feel less like “people borrowing space” and more like an ecosystem of the intersecting and overlapping communities who have found a sense of home with us.
Less like a venue, more like a neighborhood of collaborators.
This coming Sunday, March 15th, we’re inviting people from all across those neighborhoods (and literally across the city) to join us for the very first Philly Meetup MashUp, a full-day hackathon for designers, developers, writers, artists, project managers, researchers, and builders of all kinds to form teams across community lines and make something real together.
Why “Good Neighbors”?
The event’s theme Good Neighbors itself is recursive, and layered.
First, it’s intentionally open to interpretation.
Your team might create an app or a website, but you could also create an art installation or messaging campaign. Or something else entirely!
But no matter the format, the theme keeps us focused on ideas that could actually make our city better.
And it reminds us why we’re coming together in the first place.
To be good neighbors, regardless of where we gather.
The Big Meetup MashUp is an excuse to stop meeting in parallel and start building together.
The people & skills already existed, we’re just making them visible.
Huge thank you to every amazing community and group who answered the call to make this happen. Come build alongside them on Sunday!
